Quests are live! This is the biggest addition to XP Network since achievements. Organizers can now build multi-step, real-world adventures: send players around a convention floor, a game store, or a whole city, scanning QR codes and presenting their XP card to complete steps and unlock achievements and XP along the way.

Added

  • Build multi-step quests that reward achievements and XP, with steps completed by QR code scans at physical or virtual locations or by presenting an XP card
  • Quest pages with shareable posters
  • Featured quests section on the home page
  • Quests now appear on event, organization, and user profiles, and on the back of unlocked achievement cards
  • Short quest links (xpnetwork.com/q/…) for easy sharing
  • Invite-only quests
  • Scan sessions: organizers and staff can scan player XP cards to complete steps, with scan logs for review
  • Push notifications for quest step completions, with links back into the quest
  • Notifications when you are awarded XP
  • Organizations can now see a table of members and their XP values in the Hub’s Analytics view
  • Organizers can block staff from purchasing items in their events
  • Player ID fields for Wise Wizard Games
  • Paizo and Soul Masters TCG joined our featured partners

Fixed

  • UK users can now spend exactly 200 XP

Calendars have landed. Every organization profile now has a proper event calendar, making XP Network the place to answer “what’s happening at my local game store this week?” Tournaments got some love too, with a completely redesigned bracket.

Added

  • Brand new tournament bracket view: a broadcast-style redesign that is faster and easier to read

Calendars, part two: your schedule now follows your players home. Anyone can subscribe to an organization’s calendar from its profile and see upcoming events right in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or whatever they already use.

Added

  • Subscribe to calendar: follow an organization’s events from your own calendar app, straight from their profile
  • Calendar filters to narrow down which events you see
  • Paizo Organized Play IDs on player profiles
  • Event drafts: the event form now saves your progress as you go, just like quests
  • Tickets are set up automatically when creating events and tournaments

Fixed

  • Ticket emails now show times in the event’s time zone

Calendars now go wherever your community is. Organizations can put their XP Network calendar on their own website, and this release also plants the first seeds of native XP checkout: spending XP directly on any product at an event.

Added

  • Embeddable calendars: build an iframe embed of your organization’s event calendar in the Hub and drop it into any website
  • Calendar API access for organizations, with credentials managed from the Hub
  • Pay with XP at events: organizers can opt in per product, from tickets to merch, and set an XP discount rate at the organization or event level, and buyers can apply their XP right at checkout
  • QR code option on the event share sheet
  • Short links behind all QR codes in events and quests for faster, more reliable scans

Changed

  • Uploaded images are now served from a CDN for faster loading
  • Updated the public Terms of Service

A tournament operations release. Swiss organizers can now correct a misreported result without tearing down every round that follows it, and the rest of the release is a sweep of fixes across event search and event emails.

Added

  • Reset Pairings for Swiss rounds: clear the pairings for a round without deleting the round, fix the result that was wrong in an earlier round, and generate pairings again with the corrected standings

Changed

  • Show Win-Loss-Draw Records is now a tournament-wide setting instead of a per-round one, so every round in a tournament displays records the same way
  • Event search by distance is clearer, with a fixed hover state and a favorites list that collapses once it grows past five entries

Fixed

  • Events open properly in a new tab when you middle-click or right-click them
  • Deleting a round no longer bounces organizers out to the tournament view
  • Images in event update emails now load in desktop and mobile email clients
