Featured Drops

Drops are limited-time product releases with countdown timers displayed on xpnetwork.com. Use them to create urgency and exclusivity around product launches.

This feature requires a connected Shopify store. If you haven’t set up your integration yet, start with the Shopify Integration guide.

Setting Up a Drop

1. Add the XPN Product Drop Block

   Open any product in your Shopify Admin > Products and scroll down to the Blocks section. Add the XPN Product Drop block to the product page.

2. Set the Drop Dates

   Check This product is a Drop, then set:

   • Release Date and Release Time (24h), when the drop shows as released on XP Network
   • End Date and End Time (24h), when the drop is removed from XP Network

   Both dates are required. The times are optional, and an empty time means midnight. Make sure the end date comes after the release date, then select Save Drop Settings to save the drop.

   

3. Set a Minimum XP Spend

   This step is optional. To restrict a drop to your most loyal customers, add the XPN Min XP Spend block to the same product, enter a Minimum XP Spend, and select Save XP Spend Settings. See Minimum XP Spend for details, including the checkout rule that enforces it.

   

To turn a drop off, clear This product is a Drop and select Save Drop Settings. This also clears its dates.

How Drops Appear on XP Network

Drops show in the Recent Drops row of the Store section on your organization page, and in your store’s Recent Drops row on the XP Network Store page, up to 10 per store. The product doesn’t need to be in your XPN collection. Changes can take up to 30 minutes to show up.

Stage	Behavior
Before release date	The drop shows “Releasing”, the release date, and a countdown timer
After release date	The drop shows “Released” and the release date
After end date	The drop is no longer displayed on XP Network

Selecting a drop at any stage opens the product on your Shopify store. A minimum XP spend isn’t shown on the drop. It’s enforced at your store’s checkout.

Make sure your drop is a published product in your Shopify store. XP Network also doesn’t notify customers when a drop releases, so promote the release date on your own channels.

Important

Drops on XP Network do not control your product’s availability in Shopify. This feature mirrors your Shopify release on xpnetwork.com to drive additional traffic to your store.

Time Zone Note

Drop times are entered in the time zone of the computer you’re using and saved in UTC. The block shows that time zone under the date fields, for example “Current time: 12:05 24h (America/Los_Angeles)”.
