Official events arrive. Organizers can ask a publisher or brand to make their event official, and approved events can hand out that organization’s achievements and items right from event setup. This release also brings XP claim links for members moving over from another loyalty program, smarter XP spending in Shopify, and a round of tournament fixes.
Added
- Request official event status from an organization in event basics, with optional prize support for achievements and items
- Sponsorship requests in the organization Hub: review incoming requests, approve them, and attach the achievements and items the event can award
- Approved events can unlock the sponsoring organization’s achievements and adjust its items for attendees from event setup, and those rewards show up in the event’s rewards area
- Notifications and emails when an official event request is sent, approved, or withdrawn
- XP claim links: when an organization brings its loyalty program to XP Network, members get a link showing the XP waiting for them, and signing up from it claims the XP without a second verification email
- Option to avoid repeat tables in tournaments, so players don’t sit at the same table round after round
- Organization news posts can keep their original publish date, and you can choose whether each post goes out to your mailing list
- Shopify storefronts show how much XP a product or cart will earn, even for signed-out shoppers, with a prompt to join
- The Shopify Thank You page shows the XP earned on the order
- Look up players in Shopify POS by username, email, or phone number when scanning isn’t working
- Music is now an activity type
- Free organizer Hubs preview the tools included in Plus, so you can see what an upgrade unlocks
Changed
- Achievements can be credited to an event even if they aren’t linked to that event first
- Event type is now set automatically: an event becomes official once its request is approved, and its details lock after approval
- Changing your email now asks you to verify the new address
- Refreshed ticket buttons that show each ticket’s state more clearly
Fixed
- Swiss pairings no longer push a top seed down two brackets to avoid a rematch lower in the standings
- Swapping or removing competitors in a Swiss match now saves
- Players get notified again when a round or tournament is completed
- Shopify POS only spends the XP needed for the items in the cart, not the player’s full balance
- Scanning an XP card before adding items in Shopify POS keeps the XP discount
- XP Store orders can no longer spend more XP than the order costs
- Organization home pages show only organization news, not event updates
- The event page shows Limit Reached instead of Buy More Tickets when you already hold the most tickets allowed
- Completed quest steps show as complete right after you scan, without refreshing the page
- The XP balance updates right away after adjusting a player’s item levels
- The minimum points field no longer stays flagged once the maximum is fixed
- Story promo posters no longer crop the sides of square cover images
- Organizations reviewing an official event request can open the event while it’s still a draft
